MESSAGEmanager Solutions announces move into VoIP with standards-based building blocks from Dialogic

Leading developer and provider of communication and messaging systems, MESSAGEmanager Solutions, has announced a move into the IP Telephony space with the launch of a range of innovative Voice Mail, Unified Communications, Presence and Voice Response IP solutions.

MESSAGEmanager Solutions has incorporated Dialogic® NetStructure™ Host Media Processing software into its MESSAGEmanager product suite to provide customers with flexible, cost effective IP Telephony and a solid foundation for the development of advanced, feature-rich productivity and unified communications solutions.

MESSAGEmanager Solutions integrates with any switch or device supporting the two major international standards for VoIP, H.323 and SIP, currently supported by Cisco, Microsoft, Alcatel, Siemens, NEC, 3COM, Avaya, Samsung, Nortel, Mitel and Ericsson.

"Dialogic values our association with MESSAGEmanager Solutions" said Sean Casey, manager, Communications Sales Organisation Dialogic Australia and New Zealand. "By designing standards-based building blocks from Dialogic into its platform, MESSAGEmanager Solutions is able to deliver a flexible, scalable solution to the marketplace. This high performance solution will reduce the deployment time and total cost ownership of new converged communications applications."

According to Ivor Livingston, Chief Executive for MESSAGEmanager Solutions,

"Today we see the broader adoption of VoIP largely based on the ability to reduce costs. The real cost savings will come fromproductivity enhancing applications enabled by VoIP Technology."

IP Telephony enables employees to be productive wherever they are, providing business organisations with a more flexible workforce than ever before. When "voice" is running over IP networks, it gains the location independence of data.

"Suddenly people are connected independent of the phones they happen to be near at that moment," Livingston said.

"Traditional telephony often has the opposite effect on productivity with many calls ending up in voice mail and the average employee wasting the equivalent of a couple of days each month playing telephone tag."

Unified Communication can increase the probability of each call to an organisation being connected by delivering real time voice communications to IP devices such as IP phones and "soft" phones.

MESSAGEmanager Presence (to be launched in 2005) is based on Microsoft Live Communication Server and will provide intelligence about a user's availability, capability and desire to communicate. Presence will enable callers to know if the party they require is available, eliminating telephone tag, lowering communications costs, leading to faster business decisions and consistently high levels of customer and employee satisfaction.

MESSAGEmanager Solutions product is a Standards-based communications and messaging platform based on Voice XML that delivers powerful Voice Messaging, Presence, Speech, IVR, Fax, Telex, Mail and SMS services.

MESSAGEmanager Solutions VoIP-enabled products include MESSAGEmanager Interactive Voice Response™, MESSAGEmanager Voice Mail™ and MESSAGEmanager Exchange™ and MESSAGEmanager Domino Voice Messaging™.

MESSAGEmanager is available through a global network of licensees, distributors and resellers.
