MESSAGEmanager Solutions announce new products to MESSAGEmanager range at CeBit

MESSAGEmanager Solutions has used the CeBit conference as a platform to announce two new additions to its MESSAGEmanager product range with MESSAGEmanager Speech Enabled Auto Attendant (SEA) and Click to Meet.

MESSAGEmanager Speech Enabled Auto Attendant (SEA) is an application packaged for MESSAGEmanager VoiceXML Server - MESSAGEmanager Solutions flagship IP telephony and TDM Voice Messaging Platform.

MESSAGEmanager Speech Enabled Auto Attendant (SEA) allows incoming callers to use spoken names to connect to the person or department they are trying to reach without operator assistance. Callers simply request a name, a place, a service or a department and the system quickly transfers to the appropriate number without using a live operator.

SEA is based on Speechworks multi-lingual OpenSpeech Recogniser and complies with the VoiceXML and W3C requirements. The OpenSpeech Recogniser processes callers' spoken commands and ascribes meaning to them.

"Speech is a core component of MESSAGEmanager Solutions strategy to embed communications into the heart of business, helping organisations improve the productivity of mobile workers and enrich customer service through the power of voice,"

said Ivor Livingston MESSAGEmanager Solutions CEO.

"Through speech applications that support the latest voice automation standards and technologies, MESSAGEmanager Solutions enables companies to accelerate speech self-service across an organisation, and turn communications into a core competitive advantage."

SEA works with MESSAGEmanager Voice mail and Exchange Voice Mail or Domino Voice Mail and is integrated with Active Directory and the Domino Name and Address Book.

SEA includes a number of superior search methods including department name, given name, common short or nickname, surname, full name of person, titles and/or department of person.

If the caller uses a wrong title or department when saying a name, the system determines if there is anyone with that name in another department or with another title.

Where there is more than one person with the same name (given, family or full name), the system asks for clarification.

CLICK TO MEET (CTM)
CLICK TO MEET (CTM) is a solution for delivering voice, video, and data collaboration, designed to help organisations achieve their goals through communication, collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

With CTM anyone can "attend" a conference at any time, regardless of their location whether it is at their desk, in a conference room or on the road, anywhere there is an Internet connection.

"With the rollout of IP Telephony and improvements in PC hardware, enterprises can now add desktop videoconferencing for little cost," said Mr Livingston. "If VoIP is already rolled out, the necessary network changes are in place to make IP Video quality practical, and the costs required to install and implement IP Video can often be justified by a reduction in business travel."

Organisations can use video to improve individual productivity. CEO's can visit remote offices, distributed marketing teams can better collaborate on marketing and advertising campaigns and sales staff can visit more customers and provide more timely sales presentations.

Sales presentations, customer visits and other scenarios that benefit from emotions and non verbal cues are fertile ground for videoconferencing and can demonstrate a real ROI.

Research conducted at UCLA found that only about 7 per cent of the emotional content of a message is communicated through word choice. The balance is communicated by non verbal actions such as gestures and facial expressions (55 percent) and verbal cues such as tone of voice and talking speed (about 38 percent).

CTM integrates with Windows Messenger, Live Communications Server (LCS), Outlook, and Active Directory or alternatively, Sametime and Domino Directory.

T.120 Data Collaboration allows users to share applications and documents in real time during a video conference. T.120 makes any online conference a real-time interactive working session, in which conference participants can view and share presentations, spreadsheets, whiteboard illustrations, documents, and other types of digital content. Security includes Secure Documents: HTTPS support and encrypted passwords.

CTM operates on a Windows based server delivering a standards based non-proprietary solution that naturally integrates with an organisations server based suite of applications. The server can be centrally deployed or distributed with Intelligent Linking™ to multiple servers across geographic locations.

MESSAGEmanager Speech Enabled Auto Attendant (SEA) and CLICK to MEET are scheduled to ship with the upcoming release of MESSAGEmanager and will be available through MESSAGEmanager Solutions Partner Channel.

MESSAGEmanager Solutions is exhibiting at CeBit2005 on the Microsoft Booth.
