ACNielsen implements MESSAGEmanager for streamlined communications

 

Global marketing information company ACNielsen has implemented MESSAGEmanager Exchange Voice Mail. Based on VoiceXML, Microsoft Exchange, and media processing resources from Intel, MESSAGEmanager provides an expandable and affordable voice mail solution for over 500 employees at the company.

MESSAGEmanager allows emails, voice mails and faxes at ACNielsen’s Australian head office in North Ryde to be delivered directly into employees’ inboxes, providing a central point of communications retrieval.

“The MESSAGEmanager solution provided more compatibility with existing software on our network, and the many features it includes enables greater portability with remote offices and employees on the move,” continued MacDonald. “The fact that MESSAGEmanager Solutions is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner reinforced our decision to select their products for ACNielsen’s head office.”

MESSAGEmanager Exchange Voice Mail is based on VoiceXML; a web based standard markup language for voice applications based on XML. This platform enables MESSAGEmanager to support virtually any telephony requirement and to be easily customised.

At ACNielsen, voice mail messages arrive as an email attachment in the user’s inbox. Clicking on the attachment enables the user to listen to the message on the PC speakers or the telephone handset. Messages can be forwarded to any internal or external email address, archived or deleted as standard mail items.

Incoming faxes are delivered directly into the receptionist’s mailbox as a mail attachment, and she then forwards the fax to the appropriate employee. Faxes are no longer missed and time is not lost sorting manually through paper faxes.

“Training employees on MESSAGEmanager has been quick and intuitive, as the system is easily comprehended,” said MacDonald. “Our other office in Melbourne currently uses the fax component, however they are moving offices and changing their PABX, so there is a possibility that they will also implement MESSAGEmanager for Voice Mail. It’s more beneficial for us to operate off the same system.”
