MESSAGEmanager has been certified by independent Laboratory TEKVIZION to comply with the stringent Exchange 2010 Partner Fax Certification Specification. Microsoft depends on third-party-certified fax solutions, such as MESSAGEmanager IP Fax to provide integrated fax capabilities for Exchange Server 2010. MESSAGEmanager certified fax partner solution enables ‘one number’ fax for users with UM-enabled Exchange 2010 mailboxes eliminating the cost of purchasing additional DIDs specifically for Fax. With MESSAGEmanager T.38 IP Fax and SMTP Gateway software users can publish the one DID number for both voice and fax calls, and send and receive fax messages with Microsoft® Outlook. How it works “One Number Fax” works by automatically detecting whether an incoming call is either a voice or fax call. Microsoft UM provides the front line call answering for the user’s phone: if UM detects fax tone, it refers the call in progress to MESSAGEmanager which delivers the call enhanced with Exchange specific e-mail headers to Exchange which in turn delivers the message to the users mailbox as a TIFF attachment.
